Trueline-Project Estimator/Operations Specialist

Department: Estimating
Location: North Logan, UT

Trueline Contractors, as sister company of Visionary Homes, is looking to hire a Project Estimator/Operations Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for performing quantity takeoffs, estimating, and budgeting on residential and commercial development projects. This position will also be responsible for managing and reporting on performance metrics throughout the life cycle of a project. This role will be well positioned to grow into future roles as they help grow the operations department at Trueline. This position will be at our company headquarters in North Logan, UT.

Responsibilities

· Perform quantity takeoffs of construction plans, using Planswift and Bluebeam software

· Perform earthwork takeoffs using Earthworks and CAD

· Assemble bid packages with all documents.

· Obtain and qualify all bids and attend pre-bid meetings.

· Administer all contracts and purchase orders with subcontractors.

· Administer, negotiate, and implement all change order requests.

· Perform other tasks as assigned by a Manager.

· Develops and maintains good working relationships with various people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.

· Keep management informed and updated on project progress and properly hand off when the time comes.

· Infrequent travel may be required.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Education

· College degree is not required but is a plus

· Experience in construction management is a plus

· At least one year of experience in estimating construction projects is required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and/or related software.

· Proficient with takeoff software such as Planswift

· Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.

· Ability to read construction drawings and understand industry scopes of work.

· Appropriate understanding of construction practices and methods
