We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our company’s Purchasing and Estimating department.

This is an in-office role, requiring availability to work out of our Layton, UT office.

Job Overview

The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the purchasing and estimating department in all aspects of new home construction projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendors' and trades' insurance certificates, monitoring expiration dates and verifying compliance with requirements

• Process rebate claims and track payments

• Assist managing vendors' request in group emails and distribute the tasks to purchasers

• Reseach Work Orders and payments to provide information to accounts payable

• Assist in evaluating vendor performance and maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers and trade partners

• Review purchase orders and verify accuracy of product specifications, quantities, and pricing

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts, and update the purchasing database/system accordingly

• Support other purchasing-related tasks and projects as assigned by the Purchasing and Estimating Manager

Education/Experience

• Previous purchasing experience, preferably in the home building industry

• Education in Construction Management, Business Management, Accounting/Finance, or other related field preferred

• Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines

• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
