Functional ERP Specialist

We are looking to for a motivated Functional ERP Specialist to join our company’s IT Department.

This is an in-office role, requiring availability to work out of our Logan, Utah Headquarters.

Job Overview

As a Functional ERP Specialist, you will play a critical role in the implementation, customization, and maintenance of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, configure ERP modules, conduct testing, provide user training and technical support, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing system enhancements. Your expertise in ERP software and understanding of business processes will drive efficiency and optimization across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the intricacies of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations modules.
  • Understand Homebuilder ONE modules within the MS Dynamics 365 ERP system.
  • Coordinate and provide training to end-users, ensuring effective utilization of the D365 system.
  • Understanding the processes of a construction company would be beneficial.
  • Assist users in resolving technical issues promptly. Provide technical assistance to end users.
  • Align with stakeholders to convert business requirements into system capabilities, features, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient processes and solutions and resolve technical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify areas for process enhancement and propose solutions.
  • Participate in system upgrades and improvements.
  • Troubleshoot system issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Configure and optimize the system to align with business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users, ensuring effective utilization of the application. Assist users in understanding system functionalities and best practices.
  • Evaluate and analyze issues reported by users through various channels (live chat, phone, email). Implement solutions to enhance system performance. Maintain assistance records for future reference.
  • Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose enhancements. Participate in system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Establish and manage internal controls within the ERP system. Identifies potential compliance risks, conducts training sessions for ERP users, and evaluates third-party vendors for compliance.
  • Work with IT teams to maintain system security and access controls, optimize ERP usage, and prepare for audits.

Requirements/Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience in an ERP-related position is preferred.
  • Dynamics 365 experience is prefered.
  • Knowledge of how to establish workflow processes, program architectures, and data governance.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and experience with both hardware and software systems
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools and business processes.
  • Proficient in problem-solving within an ERP system.
  • Ability to work independently and within an agile team structure.
  • Project Management skills, with organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal and presentation skills
